With so many nooks and crannies, cleaning your home from top to bottom can be a daunting task. Organizational expert Jeffrey Phillip and Good Housekeeping Institute head of cleaning Carolyn Forte are here to help.

Here are 10 of her expert tips for tackling the dirtiest and most overlooked spots in your home. :

1. Prevent more dirt from entering your home by using two floor mats at the front door. one inside and one outside.

2. Eliminate bad odors from the kitchen sink by running lemon zest and cold water down the garbage disposal.

3. Tumble dry blinds, drapes and pillows on the 'air only' cycle for 15 minutes to freshen them up.

4. Bring a bowl of water, lemon, and vinegar to a boil in the microwave to steam clean troublesome stains.

5. Rub half a lemon against your cutting board to remove food stains and odors.

6. Polish stainless steel appliances by scrubbing with a mixture of dish soap and hot water.

7. Organize your messy junk drawer with a non-slip liner and repurposed plates and bowls for odds and ends storage.

8. Freshen up your shower drain by pouring in a mixture of baking soda and table salt, followed by a cup of hot vinegar.

9. Don't forget to use your extendable duster when tackling ceiling fans, pendant lights, crown molding and more.

10. Quickly clean your child's plastic toys by tossing them in dishwater on a glass or on the quick wash cycle, no heat drying.
