State provides snow removal tips

As a snowstorm threatens to 30 inches of snow fall across the state, the Ministry of Public Health in Connecticut provides snow removal tips to help residents stay healthy during the cleaning after the storm.

Can hurt shoveling snow, if you're not careful. To protect your back, bend your knees and keep the shovel close to your body. Not to twist your torso and instead place your feet in front of the snow from your shovel.

Use a small shovel and collect small quantities at a time, especially if the snow is heavy and wet.

Be sure to drink plenty of water, while a shovel to avoid dehydration.

Blades may increase your heart rate and blood pressure, so be sure to start slowly and prepare your body by stretching.

Try to keep your blade at the hottest part of the day.

Blowing snow / Lancer

Avoid wearing scarves or loose clothing that could get caught in moving parts of the machine.

If the mobile computer, move carefully and do not bend or slip back hurt.

Never place hands, feet or other body parts in the machine while the engine is running.

When the device is locked, stop the engine and with a cleaning tool for lead. Never use your hands or feet to clear the blocked devices.

Wait for machines with model gas engine cool before refueling.

A snow plow petrol / shot in an enclosed area such as a garage or shed will not run. This could put the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning you.
