Condensation is a major cause of mold in homes, especially in the colder months.
Mold, a type of fungus that thrives in damp environments, not only mars the aesthetics of your home but can also wreak havoc on interior spaces and, if neglected, significantly reduce the value of your property at the time of sale.
Controlling indoor condensation is key to fighting mold. Even in homes with double or triple glazing, windows often form hotspots for condensation, leading to the familiar sight of water droplets forming on the interior surface of windows in the morning.
There seem to be rumors of a miracle cleaning product that fans swear will permanently remove condensation from windows.
Kymberley Folliard contacted Ms Hinch's cleaning group on Facebook and complained: "Condensation on the windows. How do you wake up every morning without it? He went deeper into his situation: "It's in all the windows of my house and it's pretty bad. »
Purchasing a dehumidifier for each room was out of the question for Kymberley. Kymberley's petition sparked an avalanche of responses, with many other Hinch supporters contributing.
Charlotte Whiting presented a simple solution that wouldn't cost Kymberley a penny. She mentioned, "I don't know if anyone posted this. But once I got this, it was really easy. There are small ventilation openings in the window frame. When I opened it I no longer had it.
Kayleigh Windsor said: "We had this problem recently and I've found that keeping the windows closed at all times really helps." We also bought some small dehumidifiers and installed them on the window sills.
Although many tips include using dehumidifiers, they are notoriously expensive.
However, Chelsea Rose Evans shared her experience with cheap moisture removal solutions, particularly Amazon's indoor dehumidifying crystals, revealing: "Check out the £1 or £2 dehumidifiers, they work wonders!"
"And just like that," he added, "I had this problem every morning in my two-bedroom apartment, and I put one on each window sill and it disappeared and never came back."
The affordable solution is available not only online, but also in popular stores such as Poundland for 80p , Asda for £1.25 and The Range for £1.49 .
Barbara Schlichting revealed another clever tip: "I had this problem in a house and someone gave me this tip and it worked!
"Put a small drop of dishwashing liquid on a cloth and rub off the condensation, after a few minutes it will disappear."
