Wichita, Kansas. A fire Friday west of Wichita leaves home uninhabitable, at least for the moment. A leader Wichita Fire Department said the cause - a pipeline of faulty chimney.
Not sure, an inspection would have happened the fire, but prevents recommend that you clean your chimney and can be inspected.
Virgilio Snider inspected and cleaned chimneys for 15 years.
"It's about safety. Ultimately, it's families and lives. We take our job very seriously," Snider said.
Eyewitness News caught with Team Top Hat Service fireplace while Friday to work on a job.
"The first is the accumulation of creosote," Snider said. "This is the tar oil here. Scanning down".
"Catch Creosote fire and like a volcanic eruption," he said.
Snider he said to check your fire red flag.
"See how bright? It's here where creosote was built. You can get a flashlight and see where creosote built," he said.

Shortly after Lane KWCH a fire broke talked north of Sedgwick in West Wichita a few miles away.
The fire battalion chief said the fire was not associated with creosote - caused instead by a faulty chimney channel.
"The smoke from the chimney, the on the outside of the house openings, apparently there are gaps in there which allowed the fire to get the wood components," said Chief Doug Winter.
He can not say with certainty, an inspection of the fire would have prevented, but invites you checked to get.
"It is worth carefully once a year and to be cleaned," Winter said.
"Every time you make a fire in your home who want to make a very serious situation. You can build a fire in your home, making sure that everything is in order," Snider said.
And the son Lane, there is a reason to have a clean chimney this time of year.
"I can make descend safely to Santa," Lane said. "Instead of breathing it all," said his son.
There was no one at home when the fire broke out Friday fireplace and no one was injured. A puppy has been around for a recording time, but a firefighter is the dog safe.
