As CEO, I am no stranger to fear that comes with email overload. With effect such correspondence that comes every day, it is easy to forget the important messages to delete another accident or lack too much time looking for an e-mail at. And now that we spend much of our professional life on our phones with small screens and buttons reinforced email smallest possible disasters. The only way to find a balance between heaven and hysteria e-mail is to stay organized. Here are three quick and easy tips on how to keep e-mail overload not only manageable but succeeded.
Clean Sweep
Its composition is desired not great, but not always. Every time I open my e-mail, housecleaning is my first official act. Because we are committed to our e-mail addresses for almost anything done these days, so it is inevitable that emails that they need to go straight into the trash. This can be anything from ads, coupons, invitations. Get the bottle clutter so you can, what you need the most attention, concentrating.
"Mark Unread"
After I emptied the trash, it's time to turn our attention to the important things. Some emails I can answer immediately; others want to read at the time, but do not have time to respond later. This is when the label used "Mark unread". If you have a demanding schedule, as it may take a week before he had time to sit and a reflective response and possibly go too long for a message in the crowd. Use 'Mark as Unread ", you will find every time you log in to the e-mail hub until you to send a reply and delivery time.
Create Folder
I'm a big fan of records. The critical information out via email to throw important emails, even if the conversation came to an end, it is risky, in my book. You never know what you need it for future reference. At the same time, you definitely do not want only the hundreds of e-mails in your inbox floating without managerial procedures in place. That's why I folders and subfolders for almost every project I was working on. All contributions attacks brainstorming email, everything is carefully stored in the correct folder. So do not panic if it is time that the information obtained months (sometimes years!) Later.
