Let me tell you about my day on Wednesday. The first part was done normally , worked, wrote, attended meetings and others. However, when I left the job, things were less welcome as I drove right through the state to rescue my fiancé, who had discovered a bug infestation in the car.

So, spring cleaning? Here are some care tips for the spring of this year

Now a bit of context: We have two cars that brought us both to work every day . However, she does not have to visit so many places during the day, so the car can stay quiet and quiet for a long time between uses.

Also, complete revelation, this car was not cleaned for a while , so there was garbage and stuff, and it lays most of the time on the sidewalk under our neighbor's tree.

Therefore, without knowing it and without knowing it, we have made the car a good habitat for beetles .

After a bit of research, we found three main types, but we had the most common ones: the black carpet beetles (the photo above is another much more photogenic variety, called the colorful beetle). I had never heard of these pests, but apparently they are quite common. In nature, they consume fallen plant matter, but they can easily penetrate cars where they find a dark and sheltered place, such as under a dirt carpet, and make more of themselves.

It made a rubber floor much more attractive

That happened with our poor car. After removing all the garbage I could find and lifting the mats off the floor, it turned out the beetles had worked hard to break the carpet under the mat on the passenger's back floor.

So, we ask, what should we do ?

Although attractive, we exclude this option

After a little more investigation, we followed the advice in some places (I mean, I followed the advice because the anger of the relationship has withered).

First, I sucked (using my vacuum) to suck off adults or larvae, and made sure I found these bras to pin them in the nooks and crannies. Then I applied something to kill them, generously cleaning the inside of the car with borax, though it appears that there are several powders specifically for this purpose. Finally, I swept the borax and used a carpet cleaner on the interior fabrics. Apparently it's not necessary, but since I had cleaned the seats and rugs on the floor, it seemed like a good idea to avoid a back with boric acid.

Take my terrible Wednesday as a warning: Keep your cars clean and sweep and clean the carpet from time to time, or you'll also spend the day dusting your car, looking for small bugs that are on the black Chew the cloth.
