A hotel room is essentially a room that was temporarily a temporary guest for hundreds or thousands of people. They could leave a few germs that the hotel staff did not clean. Unless you have immunodeficiency, most of these germs will not hurt you for the added protection that our body introduces.
The following list contains items that you can find in hotel rooms with which you want to be very careful.
1. TV remote control
The TV remote is something everyone will touch sometime during his stay. Since they have nothing to do in a hotel room, people are between the news and the weather channel, trying to find something interesting to pass the time. There may be thousands of germs at this distance from previous guests who stayed in the same room.
The remote control is a very discreet item that hotel staff does not want to actively clean, so guests should keep an eye out for it.

2nd quilt or duvet
Staff always change sheets daily but, as stated in the Huffington Post , hotel staff do not have enough time to clean the large comforters before new guests arrive.
During sleep, people tend to get rid of body oils and dander that can spill on the bed, as well as many bacteria and germs.
It is recommended to avoid contact with quilts. Kelly Reynolds, a professor of environmental health at the University of Arizona, said, "Many people will simply recommend folding the blanket or throwing it in the chair.
3. Drinking glasses
Most hotels offer glasses for your guests to drink. However, if the glasses come out of the bathroom, it is recommended to clean them first before the customer uses them for drinking, as pulling a toilet can contaminate the surrounding surfaces with bacteria.
"When you flush the toilet, the virus and the feces spread through the walls of the toilet, the crank and the walls of the bathroom," says Reynolds.
Other places that are a refuge for bacteria are the sink (the bacteria like to grow in humid environments), the back of the toilet, the flush handle and the walls of the bathroom.
Reynolds told Time that glasses and coffee machines are better disinfected to prevent bacterial outbreaks.
4. Lamp and light switch
Like the remote, light switches are exposed to bacteria because they are often touched by humans. Like the remote control, the light switches are not cleaned regularly by the hotel staff as they are an independent element.

5. Domestic materials
Households can contain many bacteria and there is always a risk of contamination of the room by bacteria. It is always better to use an additional disinfectant if a surface requires additional cleaning. (ely / wng)
