There is nothing more annoying than little flies buzzing around your fruits.
But a smart Australian has invented a trick that does not smell like insect repellent.
Although he admits that he does not kill the little creatures, he said that he would certainly drive them away.
All you need is a lemon and a few teeth and you are on the right path for a life without fruits.
In his YouTube video, Ninny Kriesch explains how to make a simple hack.
"Just cut the ends of the lemon and then cut them in half to fit perfectly on a plate," he said.
Then push many teeth into the lemon to release an odor.
"It's a pretty strong and pleasant smell, I think that keeps flies away," he said.
Then gently squeeze the lemon once a day to release the juice. You can leave it on a plate near the area where you want to eliminate the flies.
The method can take about six days and can be used indoors and outdoors to keep out flies, Kriesch said.
Citrus fruits and cloves are good for repelling flies because they hate their subtle aroma.
In fact, many insect repellents contain orange or lemon extracts not only because of their aroma, but also because citrus oil is a natural deterrent to insects.
Ms. Kriesch decided to shoot the video after the "crazy" reaction she had when she posted it on her Facebook.
More than 11,000 people watched the 90-second video over the last five days, and some shared their own findings.
"My flies are gone, I did that and it worked immediately, no more flies," wrote a woman.
Another person said he wanted to try it and added that it was great for Christmas day.
Last week, another woman revealed how she managed to get rid of mold in her bathroom with a $ 2 item.
With a message in the Facebook group Cleaning Tips and Tricks :), the British explained how they use cotton, which costs them a few dollars and a step to make the bathtub new again.
The before and after photos show a thick black mold on the corners of the wall behind your bathtub.
After receiving advice from group members to dip cotton into bleach and leave it overnight, she was surprised to find that it had worked.
His original article immediately produced hundreds of comments from cleaning fans who shared his advice.
"The bleach turns white, the distilled vinegar kills the roots of the mold, sprays it with vinegar after each shower, and bleaches it overnight," a woman said.
"A kitchen roll soaked in raw bleach, then examined and pasted, that's the best way I've found mine," said another.
