Even if you clean your house from top to bottom, it's easy to overlook some common hiding spots that have dust gathering for as far as the eye can see.
Where is the dust hiding in your house?
Chris said: "One of the main causes of allergies is dust mites, small insects found in house dust.
"Dust collects in all sorts of places in your home, some more hidden than others, and it's not always easy to spot.
"However, a fine layer of dust collects on most surfaces, from window sills to shelves, and some are more noticeable than others and also need regular cleaning to remove allergen build-up."
When it comes to removing dust, you should avoid using a feather duster, Chris said, as it can irritate allergies.
He explained: "I recommend using a clean, damp cloth for dusting surfaces and not a feather duster, as this will release dust into the air that will settle elsewhere.
"A damp cloth catches dust so you can thoroughly clean surfaces."
If you have allergies or asthma, wearing a face mask while cleaning can prevent you from breathing in dust from your home.
Aside from cleaning all surfaces, these are some of the areas where the most dust accumulates, according to Chris.
