One such group has gathered over 600,000 members and sees people sharing hundreds of tips and questions every day.

Others were quick to comment, explaining how to use a dishwasher tablet to clean the oven.

One user stated, "I moisten the tablet with soapy water and rub it over it in the oven / glass with a scouring pad."

Another user said, "I made a paste out of a dishwasher tablet. I had platinum fairies. Rubbed into all parts of the oven. Soaked shelves and filters in the bathroom. Difficult parts I used wool thread. Just a scouring pad.
