Marie Claire: What are the stages of the classic spa treatment?
SEE AGAIN: There are eight.
- Clean the leather inside and out, then wipe the seams to remove dust, wax, stains, and stains.
- Find the more specific defects in the pocket that required additional treatment.

MC: How often should I take my luggage to a professional? Should you have your classic spa treatment once a year or does it depend on how often you use the bag?
SEE AGAIN: Recommended once a year. This is of course relevant for the bag that you use most often, but bags that are not used on a daily basis must also be checked annually to ensure that they are optimally looking. Remember, bags don't necessarily need to be colored to receive a spa treatment. Maintenance is just as important as fixing or removing a stain!
MC: How do you know when home care is enough and when it's time to take your bag to a professional?
SEE AGAIN: You know it's time to take your bag to a professional if you don't want to take care of it yourself. Or if you've tried the home care process and haven't been able to remove the stain or mark. When in doubt, it is always better to fall back on the know-how of a professional. For certain skins, such as ostrich, lizard and crocodile, for example, we recommend using only a dry cloth for thorough cleaning and consulting a specialist for all other treatments.
One thing I learned from my Chanel bag is that it is important to consider care, maintenance and cleaning before choosing a white investment bag.
