How to clean a sink

According to the experts at Dri-Pak, don't use lemon or baking soda in your sink!

The blog says, "You can look great on social media, but not only is it wasteful, it's not even most effective if you understand the science.

"Lemons are acidic and bicarbonate is alkaline, so the two of them react and neutralize each other. The citric acid in the lemons removes the limescale deposits remaining in the tap water and the baking soda acts on the fat deposits and provides an abrasion for cleaning.

Third step

After you've cleaned your sink, you may find that it looks a little drab.

Experts say, "Once the water has evaporated, limescale build-up from the rinse water has tarnished the shine, especially if you live in an area with hard water.

"Just leave the sink and dab it briefly with white vinegar and wipe it with a clean, dry cloth."
