Whether it's the kitchen floor or the grout around the shower stall, the space between the tiles can discolour over time. This is because most grouts are made of porous materials, which means dirt, debris, soap scum, and discolored water can get into them.
This buildup can also encourage the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew, leading to a staining effect.
Although bleach is known for its ability to remove stains, one tiler cautioned against using liquids when it comes to cleaning grout.
In a Reddit forum titled "Cleaning Tips," the user said, "Bleach is not the way to clean tile grout."
They added: "I keep seeing posts with photos of tiled showers asking for cleaning suggestions, and invariably a few people comment on bleach solutions.

To do this, make a paste of two parts baking soda and one part water and apply to grout with an old toothbrush or stiff-bristled grout brush.
Next, fill a spray bottle with vinegar and spritz it over the baking soda mixture.
Use your toothbrush or grout brush to remove dirt.
Finally, rinse the grout thoroughly with fresh water.
