How to approach the most sensitive parts of your home (which you can never clean)

keeping a house well- stocked and clean , especially if you have children, it's a thankless task. Luckily for you we are here to assist you in organizing the most sensitive areas.

We recently had the pleasure of helping a growing family of three to prepare their homes for their new supplement, focusing on the pantry, closet, wardrobe and craft area. Given the specific needs of this family, we have developed practical and sustainable storage solutions.

Take a look at some of our guiding principles to organize each of these rooms and try these tips in your own home.

Create the perfect pantry

With children constantly fetching sandwiches and boxes of fruit juice, the pantry is a place in the house that can easily be disturbed. Here are some suggestions to keep it in order:

  • Keep similar items together (all canned in one area, all spices in another).
  • Use clear containers to see what you need to avoid to buy excess, used food and food waste.
  • Create a place for breakfast items so the morning hours are more consistent. For example, cereals, oats and maple syrup on the same shelf.
  • Create a fast food space with your child's favorite pieces.

Delete the storage cabinet

Oh, the storage cabinet. Everyone is guilty of throwing all sorts of opportunities and ends up there. To avoid this additional mess:

  • Think about what you store there and why.
  • Ask yourself: Are there items in the closet that you use less often and that you can store elsewhere? If so, put it in the garage, basement or attic.
  • Create tagged storage solutions for the maintenance and accountability of organizations.
  • Determine which types of objects are regularly placed in the cabinet and create a system for those objects. For example, create a basket / container for items such as donations, returns, inbound packages, or gifts and label them accordingly.
  • Maintenance is an essential aspect to stay organized. Once the systems are installed, spend a few minutes each week putting the items in their own "homes".

Expand the wardrobe

It is very easy to keep sheets and towels that have exceeded your premium. Use some of these tips to keep your linen closet in optimal shape:

  • Throw objects that are no longer in good condition or do not belong to a set.
  • Store sheet sets in containers (or in the case of this set). Then, when the sheets have to be changed or the guests arrive, it's easy to take a complete set without unstacking it and laying it apart to find what you need.
  • Keep only what you need; An extra set of sheets per bed in your home is usually sufficient.
  • Keep the towels in the same way in the part of the house where you use them (bathroom, bedroom, guest room etc.).
  • Bulky bulky items can, if space permits, be stored on sturdy hangers. If there is an unused hanging space, hanging larger blankets can make room to fold or store other items in baskets / baskets.
  • Off-season, you should take large plastic blankets to reduce their size and protect them from dust during storage during the summer months.

Cleaning the corner of the craft

If you have children, you probably have a crafting corner in your house that is full of markers, pencils and construction paper. Use these suggestions to minimize the damage:

  • Dispose of dry markers and broken pencils (or thaw pencils to get new ones). Recycling or reuse of pieces of paper.
  • Create a place for everything. For example, a container for pens, one for pens and one for pens.
  • Remember to use acrylic containers that allow children to see the colored materials inside (pompoms, stickers, ice cream sticks, etc.).
  • Or use open bearings (such as cups or baskets), because the lid containers go one step further in the children's cleaning process.
  • Label items by color, which can be a fun way to get children involved in learning and cleaning at the same time.
