The question of how to clean the phone remains open to users amid the coronavirus pandemic. According to Google, the question of how to disinfect the phone has increased by 4,200% in the last 30 days. This time Asus and LG gave advice on disinfecting the phone. Both companies recommend the use of 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean electronic devices.
They join Apple, Samsung and Motorola. It's been two weeks since manufacturers also released tips on cleaning iPhones and cell phones in the Galaxy and Moto series.
It should be noted that isopropyl alcohol is different from alcohol gel. The first, according to the recommendation of the Federal Council for Chemistry, is best suited for cleaning electronic products, since the chemical structure of which it is made hinders the oxidation of the parts. The product is available in computer stores and office supplies.
Asus and LG emphasize that it is important to take precautions, e.g. B. Wash your hands with soap or clean them with alcohol gel. turn off the phone; and pull the power plug before starting the cleaning process.
After that, the user should remove the protective cover if necessary and use isopropyl alcohol (70% concentration) on a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and the back. It is not recommended to use chlorine, disinfectants or abrasives to clean the smartphone as they can damage or contaminate the device.
In the case of Zenfone, Asus explains that the use of alcohol gel is not recommended. LG again admits that the product can be used on phones. It is important to put very little alcohol on the gel and to dry the device. Otherwise, the components can get wet or even rust.
The user is advised not to use the mobile phone in public places or to take it to the bathroom. Finally, in addition to the respiratory syndrome caused by the new coronavirus, harmful bacteria can also contaminate the device.
