Himanta Biswa Sarma opens a super windy this Friday
GUWAHATI: Residents of the state can now benefit from community services at home. Prime Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched a range of online services on Friday, including instant business licenses, assessment and payment of property taxes and building permits.
It also sold super suction machines for the Guwahati Municipal Company as part of the Guwahati Smart City project and truck-mounted sump cleaners. The CM also presented nine local civic organizations that had recently received awards under the Swachh Survekshan program, certificates, monetary prizes and letters of sanction.
A total of 10 super vacs were donated to the GMC to enhance its sediment removal work so they could complete the removal of sediment from five river channels and 575 urban runoffs well before the monsoons. The super vacuums were not delivered to the municipal offices. Crankcase cleaners were delivered to all municipal locations.
On that occasion, Sarma said the state government had worked persistently to get people to use government services around the clock. "The government has implemented technological solutions to provide transparent, timely and responsible services," he said.
Sarma added that from now on, people can get their building permits, business permits, study permits and property taxes without going to the municipal office. The CM said that the Vasundhara Mission was well received by the Citizenship Bureau, and nine people from Lakh have already applied for the service. He also gave a brief summary of all government actions in the context of the Smart City project.
