After the Christmas holidays and lots of laundry, your washing machine seems to need cleaning. One of the most common problems in the cleanliness of is fan that the joints of your washing machine filled with dirt and excess water. Fans of cleaning star Ms. Hinch , whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, explained how to keep window seals clean.
Amanda Thwaits replied, "I always dry mine with paper towels and leave a bulge at the bottom of the seal and leave the door open."
Vivienne Copeland commented, "Totally normal, just clean it every time you use it and leave the door ajar."
Macy Vanner said, "I thought it was normal and you leave the door open after washing to prevent mold.
"Or soak a tea towel or paper towel."
Opening the washing machine door allows moisture to escape and prevents mold and mildew.
Other suggestions from Ms. Hinch's fans included a hot water wash, cleaning the machine, and checking seal holes and drains.
Ella Gardner said, "This happens when the water pressure is too high, too much water can get into the drum during washing, causing it to get into the seal and filter, etc."
Hilary Dyer replied, "I cleaned mine well some time ago and was appalled at the amount of awful mud I found both above and below.
"I slide in a tea towel after each wash and dry it completely. "
Reece Penney said, "You always have water there, it will keep the seal from drying out and easily cracking and tearing when not in use."
Charlene Conyard replied, "It could be the water pipes.
"If you have baking soda, put it in the sink, let it sit for a while, then a kettle of hot water will kill the odor from the pipes."
"So if you have dishwasher tabs in a hot wash in the machine's drum, you should clean everything. Do the sink first.
Emma Walker suggested, "The rubber on the door has a small hole at the bottom, make sure it's not blocked."
Airam Lily said, "A service technician told me to put my machine in the hottest wash once a month with no product.
"Thoroughly clean your machine and all of your pipes. Forget about expensive products.
Andy Lee said, "It looks like limestone, Calgon might be worth using for a while."
