Spring is here and the time for the spring cleaning is here.
The first aid kit is one of the most neglected places.
No prescription or prescription, it is time to remove old and unused medication.
"I check my over-the-counter medications once a year and keep an eye on the expiration date," said Felicia Villaroman, Pharmacy Director of Sharp Coronado.

"If you throw something in the toilet, you can go to our water supply," said Villaroman. "We want to make sure that our water stays clean."
Villaroman suggests mixing old medicines with coffee grounds, soil or even cat litter. Villaroman wants to prevent old medicines from falling into the wrong hands.
Villaroman not only explains old medicines, but also explains that many health authorities are willing to take them and throw them away for you.
