"I live on jacket and Weetabix potatoes!" She laughs. "I had exactly the same wishes last time. Pregnancy is so weird, isn't it?

It also surprises you sometimes ...

"It was quite a shock because it happened earlier than expected and I had been gone a few months when we found out.

"Like last time, my mother noticed. She looked at my insta stories and said, "Soph, take a pregnancy test ... there's something out there."

"I said, 'Oh my god, mom, not yet!' But yes, he was absolutely right.

Sophie Hinchliffe, the woman behind the Ms. Hinch phenomenon and the most influential cleaning account in the world, owes her second baby in late spring - her New Years mail that brings the news got me nearly 1.5 million like on Instagram.

And while she's understandably nervous about a pandemic pregnancy, she appreciates its uneventful nature to date, especially given the complications she had while waiting for Ronnie, who is now 20 months old.

"With Ron, I almost got to the point where I was hospitalized more than I was," she says.

"I'm so grateful for a pregnancy that I really enjoy it instead of constantly having pain and worrying.

"I'm obviously worried about different things like Covid and this time the mood is very different, which is understandable, but overall I can't complain at all."

Along with Ronnie, Sophie suffered a series of painful fits of the back and groin that eventually led to her breakdown and rushed to the hospital.

She underwent emergency surgery under general anesthesia in the seventh month of pregnancy to move her inactive but displaced gastric band and cause a blockage.

Because of all this and a blood disorder that makes her clot, 30-year-old Sophie is being watched closely to make sure it doesn't happen again.

"I follow strict instructions and do my best to make sure everything is okay. Knock on wood, everything looks fine.

"I'm worried about a blood clot because I know my stents are there, but I think it's normal for anyone with a disease they can't control. They're learning to live with it."

She feels calmer about what to expect when the baby is there too.

In her hit memoir, This Is Me, published last fall, she spoke boldly for the first time about her emotional struggle during the first months of motherhood.

While she wasn't talking about postpartum depression, Sophie was undoubtedly in a spiraling and desperate state, questioning her parenting skills and heartbreakingly wondering if Ronnie deserved it better.

"I wish I had help sooner," he says today.

"Most of the time I was like, 'Who am I?' I didn't know what I was doing and I'm not going to lie that it was pink and a nice experience from start to finish because it wasn't at all.

Sharing that pain in the book was something Sophie thought about carefully. It was deeply personal and by then he had done everything privately.

But now that he's out there, he feels like "a weight has been lifted" and says that overwhelmingly this chapter has been what readers have reacted to the most.

"The number of people who said they were referring to this chapter more than anything made me realize that I am not a bad person to feel what I feel.

"I'm not ashamed. A lot of people have written to me," I contacted my family doctor about you "or" After reading your book I got help and now I feel very happy inside "which is incredible to me.

"I never talked about it at the time because I felt it would attract attention and I was also worried about switching off others.

"I didn't understand that everything was perfect… instead, I didn't say anything at all. But now I'll be talking about it all day if that's what it takes to bring people closer.

"With this baby, I'll be a lot more open from day one because my fans now know. They know exactly what it was and how I felt."

This time, recognize the warning signs and don't be afraid to ask for help. In fact, she already has a support team and just knowing it's a great comfort.

"I'm changing my life"

"The NHS is great and I know I can talk to someone," he said.

"I still take antidepressants and they are closely monitoring this to make sure everything is in balance.

"The midwife recently came to do a blood test and asked me about my medication, dosage, and how I was feeling. Then she called me to check it out. The help is there and they really care.

"Having this support and knowing that it is there has really changed my life, it has changed my attitude towards everything.

"I'm better prepared this time, I know I'll have to wait for a hormone drop and I'll be honest with myself and ask for help when I need it."

42-year-old husband Jamie, who was last shocked by Sophie's heartbreak, is ready to catch her if she starts falling.

"He understands now," he said. "He didn't understand it then. At first he said, "You just have to get out of here" and I said, "I can't! Or I wondered why he was crying, but I couldn't answer him because I didn't know.

"This time it will be different and I am very excited to see how we will all deal with it together.

"I mean, when Ronnie was born, neither of us knew what we were really doing. You can get all the tips and read anything you want. Nothing really prepares you for reality!

"We're both looking forward to putting what we learned with Ron into practice and enjoying the games that were nerve-wracking. We promised ourselves.

"I think I'll be more relaxed. I hope."

"I don't know what I would have done without my followers just to have a cup of tea and clean up.

"I really need my Instagram and I know that for many of us we have helped each other in everything."

But it wasn't something she had planned, and while Sophie learns how to drive, nothing is perfect for her.

As a naturally shy and confident person who struggles with fear on a daily basis, the last place Sophie wanted to be was the center of attention. He jokes that he's the "worst person for". Make it happen, "although that vulnerability is also part of its charm.

'MUTE'

"That was definitely not the plan," he says.

"Getting 1.5 million likes on my pregnancy announcement isn't even normal, is it? I can't forget that a lot of people saw my photo, let alone liked it.

"My phone rang. He literally said," I can't take this. "Silence.

"It's a journey and Jamie and I are enjoying it as best we can. I mean, it's a story to be told to grandchildren, isn't it? You know, "Sit down and let me tell you all about Ms. Hinch!" ""

This unexpected career may have made ex-sales rep and stylist Sophie more financially comfortable than she could have imagined, but social media also has a downside.

She was so devastated by the trolling she was subjected to that she was prescribed antidepressants around this time last year. In his book he describes the effects of violence on his life.

"I really wanted to talk about the intensity because I don't talk about it in my stories," he says.

"So it was an excursion, but ... you know what?" My followers help me ward off any negativity that I may have seen.

"For anything that is uncomfortable, there are hundreds and thousands of positive results, which is amazing. That's what I try to focus on. "

She is trying to take a few days off, which means turning off her phone and "signing out" of the Gram, but she fears people will think she is "rude".

A new tactic that helps her draw the line between Ms. Hinch and her personal life is to have two phones, one for her Insta account and one for her family and close friends.

This helps her feel "less claustrophobic" as she often feels the weight of responsibility that comes with being Ms. Hinch.

However, he admits that he is actually connected to his account with Ms. Hinch via the private phone because he misses his followers if he is not with them for a long time.

"I think I first noticed it when I was pregnant with Ron and was thinking about going on maternity leave.

"So I was like, 'Wait a minute ... It's not that I can get someone to do all of my Instagram stories while I'm away, can it?"

"I don't like to call myself a brand because I am a person, but technically I am the face and person behind all of the brands that can emerge from this incredible journey, which is really strange to say.

"I make all of my meetings and changes. It's just me and my phone. I have about 500 photos of rags that I really need to delete! ""

She adds: "My fans tell me, 'Soph, you have to take a day off this week!' They're like my mom and aunts telling me to quit, what a great community.

"Even my mother says, 'Now you have millions of mothers, you don't need me!' She sees love.

Another change fans might have noticed lately is that she's much more present than she is.

"Back to the origins"

The popular 'Gretel' filter she used to hide her face when talking to the camera was removed from Snapchat last year with no warning.

"I asked Snapchat to bring Gretel back. I said, "Please, I need you!" But she went. And maybe it all happens for a reason.

"I've found a similar one that works if I hesitate a little, but it's not quite Gretel. I'm trying, I'm better

"When I started my Instagram, I started laughing and chatting. I'm back and that makes me happy.

If someone said that their partner didn't blow the fuse every now and then, they would be lying.

"I took it to where it was when I started. That's how I got here. I got back to the basics and I'm so much happier about it."

During Ms. Hinch's unstoppable rise, Jamie was by her side and is now on an extended sabbatical from her job as sales manager to support Sophie full time.

He has amassed a number of followers himself, and his report compliments his perfectly, shares his wife's pride, but also offers a glimpse into some of her strangest quirks.

"It takes my ass off and I like jokes," he said.

Sophie and Jamie were already used to living in each other's pockets before locking, so it wasn't as big a test of the relationship as it could have been. But she says they've had their moments.

"Usually we're so busy doing our own stuff that even though we're in the same house, we can spend hours without crossing.

"Don't get me wrong, there were days when I thought, 'Take off your hair, get out of the house!' In fact, I did that the other day.

"I went out and cleaned the garage because it was a little time for me. It happened to him. Sorting out the garage is a pleasure!

"If someone said that their partner didn't comb their hair from time to time, they'd be lying. But the truth is, he couldn't do this without him.

"He loves to be in on anything, he loves to work hard and he knows more about the business side than I do. He's a lot more involved than people think."

Jamie was able to attend the first scan, but due to the limitations of Covid, Sophie made most of the hospital appointments herself. It is not easy for someone who needs rest.

"The atmosphere in the hospital, which is even waiting to be walked in, feels like a movie. People seem to be afraid to talk to each other, they're all so far apart that it's almost like we're distancing ourselves emotionally and physically.

"I've hardly been out of the house for the past few months, but as I sat in the waiting room I realized that and it got my nerves through the roof.

She says she is ready to go out but instead shared those feelings on Instagram, received a surge of support, and no longer felt alone.

"My inner feelings and all of my Instagram are very different from my book. This is one of the best things I've ever done.

"My fans don't want to see perfection every day and that's a relief. I don't have to try to keep up or keep up with anything.

"This community that we have is not critical and I am happy to be a part of it."

Do you need them as much as you need them?

"It's so true," he said. "I know there's a lot of cheese on toast, but we're in the same boat."
