US $ 1.6 billion from the Department of Internal Investment to Improve Historic Facilities and Structures

As cleaning professionals prepare to revisit customers in person for conventions and other work-related travel, they can turn to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States for safety advice.

The CDC updated its travel policy for fully vaccinated people on Friday, assuring them that they can travel with little risk to themselves. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the last recommended dose of the vaccine.

Fully vaccinated individuals can travel to the US and will not need a COVID-19 test or post-travel self-quarantine as long as they continue to take COVID-19 precautions while traveling: wear a mask, avoid crowds, distance yourself socially and wash Your hands frequently.

In order to prevent the introduction and spread of new variants of SARS-CoV-2, the CDC provides the following information on international travel:

  • Fully vaccinated individuals can travel internationally without taking a COVID-19 test prior to travel, unless the international destination so requires.
  • Fully vaccinated individuals do not need to be quarantined upon returning to the United States, unless required by a state or local jurisdiction.
  • Fully vaccinated individuals should always test negative for COVID-19 before boarding the U.S. and tested for COVID-19 three to five days after returning from international travel.
  • Fully vaccinated individuals should continue to take precautions against COVID-19 when traveling abroad.

The updated guidelines do not change the agency's recommendations for people who are not fully vaccinated. Unvaccinated travelers should be tested one to three days before their domestic trip and again three to five days after the trip. They must stay home and quarantine themselves for seven days after the trip, or ten days if they are not tested at the end of the trip. The CDC does not recommend non-essential domestic travel for those who are not fully vaccinated.
