Cleanliness: Ms. Hinch fans share a great tip for getting rid of "odor-absorbing" cigarette smoke.

MRS HINCH fans share their tips to get rid of the lingering smell of cigarette smoke.

Ms. Hinch is a cleaning mogul with more than four million followers on Instagram. Mrs Hinch Cleaning Advice is a Facebook fan page with 632.3 thousand members who come together to share housekeeping advice.

"Can anyone recommend how to remove the smell of cigarette smoke from a home?" Paula Champion asked the group.

"The smoker has been there for 30 years," he added.

Hinch supporters flocked with advice on how to get rid of the stench.

"There's an odor-inhibiting paint," said Rhoda Brogan.

To "get the job done," Sure Pro Painting suggests Zinsser BIN Shellac Primer.

"Froth the sugar and pick up all the carpets," added Lala Plp.

Sugar soap is a chemical cleaner that is commonly used before painting.

It also revitalizes the paintwork and makes it look like new.

This product has been highly recommended by most of the Hinch enthusiasts.

A simple trick that was mentioned several times in this article was to open all of the windows.

"Keep as many windows open as you can for as long as possible," recommended Lisa Humphrey.

"I even left my front door open for a couple of hours," said Abbigail Lee before cleaning the walls with sugar soap.

"You are extremely brave to buy a smokehouse; It's not for people who can be influenced! said Claire Weaver.

"If you have a wooden floor, I'd say it's full of tar," said Claire, "so it's better to seal it up and then put it back on the floor, as well as plastering all the walls, every wall, every ceiling wash, surface, etc. at least five times.

"If it's carpet or other material that has absorbed the smoke, it will be difficult for you to remove and you will have to replace it if you want to get rid of it," said Emma Louise Jones.

Regardless of the products Emma used, the smoke from her home smelled "persistent".

Rachael BMarvin offered a very inexpensive option.

"Cut an onion in half and place it in each room to absorb odors."

All you need, according to Joanne Stitt, is "good cleaning of everything and lots of fresh air".

For his part, Von Thatch warned: "A thorough 'good cleaning' will not be enough. It penetrates carpets, clothing, and even walls. It seems that the solution is a lot of sugar soap.
