Time to make it official on Facebook: America loves cleanliness, and even Sunday Scares won't stop you from cleaning up.
A survey of 2,000 US residents found that the average person thoroughly cleans their home seven times a month and five times a month.
By differentiating between the two, the respondents identified cleaning as cleaning (71%), washing dishes (68%) and cleaning the table (65%).
Meanwhile, people consider cleaning windows (53%), bathtubs (50%), and toilets (41%) as thorough cleaning tasks.
The study commissioned by LG Electronics and conducted by OnePoll also found that Saturday morning is the best time to clean. In contrast, Sunday evening and early Monday morning were considered the worst times.
Respondents also identified which tasks are best done during the day and at night. People prefer to vacuum (40%), clean the toilet (34%) and mop (33%) throughout the day.
Others opt for quieter and more relaxing tasks at night such as washing dishes (35%), washing clothes and folding clothes (32%) and cleaning the cooking zone (31%).
Overall, the respondents agreed that washing clothes (33%), vacuuming (31%), washing dishes (31%) and cleaning the bathroom are best done at any time of the day. Cooking zone (27%).
Data has shown that six in ten Americans pay more attention to cleaning their floors than anything else in their home. 62% said they would rather tend to a mountain of dirty dishes or laundry than walk barefoot on a dirty floor.
63 percent of pet owners believe that taking care of their soil has become a priority when they have pets. In addition, 56% of parents said that when they were around children they became aware of the importance of a well-tended and clean floor.
"More and more Americans are looking for convenience when cleaning their floors, and a good upright vacuum can make the cleaning process easier while ensuring a thorough clean," said Gail Conroy, manager. Marketing for home appliances from LG Electronics.
"But not all stick vacuum cleaners are created equal. Consumers want something that suits their wants and needs and offers an easier and more efficient way of maintaining floors.
Two in three people (67%) said they felt pure euphoria after completing housework, and almost as many (66%) said they couldn't relax until their home was spotlessly clean.
Most of the respondents attribute good cleaning habits to their parents: 77% stated that their parents took cleaning very seriously as children. Of them, 78% now use the same cleaning methods as their parents.
Seven out of 10 said there is nothing more satisfying when it comes to cleaning than having freshly vacuumed floors. And to make sure their floors stay clean, 51% ask their guests to take off their shoes before entering the house.
"To improve floor maintenance, you have to think about the process; a convenience that speaks to what people love most about cleaning their homes, "Conroy continued.
"When people have the right equipment that makes cleaning less cumbersome and painless, housework becomes less complicated. "
