How to clean interior and exterior walls in your home - beautiful house

Bricks are durable, but not immune to dirt, dust, and stains, which means they should be cleaned ! The bricks are maintenance free inside and out , but they cannot be washed in exactly the same way (using a pressure washer in your house would not be ideal!). Regardless of whether you want to give your interior brick wall a whole new look or renovate the exterior brick walls of your house, you have come to the right place. Follow the steps below and your brick will be shining in no time.

      2. Wet the stone with a spray bottle filled with water.
      3. Apply a cleaner of your choice depending on how dirty the brick is.
      4. For a smooth approach, clean the brick with warm water and a little washing-up liquid with a grout sponge.

      6. Rinse the brick in warm water with a clean sponge and let it dry.

        1. Use a pressure washer to clean the sturdy exterior stone. Note: some older bricks cannot be high pressure washed. Consider seeking professional advice if you own an old or historic home.
        2. Before pressure washing, find and repair cracks in the brick.
        3. Make sure all windows are sealed and electrical equipment is covered with waterproof material.
        4. Cover nearby gardens such as shrubs and flowers with a tarp.
        5. Use low pressure (between 500 and 1000 PSI). Safety tip: it is essential to wear eye protection and non-slip shoes when using a pressure washer.
        6. First apply the detergent to the wall from top to bottom.
        7. Let the detergent sit for a few minutes according to the manufacturer's instructions.
        8. Rinse the wall thoroughly from top to bottom with a surface cleaner or a low pressure nozzle. Follow the manufacturer's directions to determine how far the mortar should be from the brick when using it.
        9. Use a garden hose to rinse off any detergent residue from other surfaces, such as the driveway or patio.
        10. Treating stains, mold, or moss on bricks:
        11. To do this, remove dirt from the surface with a sponge.
        12. Put on protective gear, including rubber gloves, eye protection, and even a breathing apparatus.
        13. Mix 1 tablespoon of bleach per quart of warm water.
        14. On wet bricks, use a sponge to apply the home improvement cleaner.
        15. Gently scrub with a brush.
        16. Rinse the brick with warm water.
        17. Take a step back and rinse the stain a second time with garden hose spray.
