Disinfect your toothbrush
The cold and flu season is just around the corner and it can leave our homes full of bad germs and viruses.
If you are suffering from the worst winter illnesses, don't underestimate the importance of sanitizing your toothbrush.
The bacteria that cause a greasy cough or sore throat can linger on the toothbrush and quickly reappear if left behind.
Although germs die over time, it's best to soak your toothbrush in white distilled vinegar for 20 to 30 minutes to kill any lurking bacteria.
Wash thoroughly after soaking to avoid an unpleasant vinegar taste when brushing your teeth.
