It turns out that toothpaste isn't just for brushing your teeth.
It can be used to clean various items around the house and keep them looking like new.
Cleaning expert and author Lynsey Crombie shared her toothpaste tips in a video showing toothpaste for polishing various household items.
His first tip showed a "drop" of toothpaste rubbed on an iron with a cloth to remove brown stains.
Lynsey's second tip was to use a brush to scrub a mixture of toothpaste and water onto the dirty sneakers.
The end result showed that the shoes looked almost new.
Similar to removing brown stains from iron, the cleaning expert's third trick used a rag and toothpaste to remove the watermarks from the cutlery.
Finally, Lynsey used a scrubbing brush to make a stainless steel sink shine like new.
Lynsey hasn't said which brand of toothpaste she prefers, but it's safe to assume most would work since toothpaste generally contains the same basic ingredients.
Toothpaste isn't the only abnormal item that has been used to clean various surfaces.
Another woman named Lindsey shared online that she is putting lemon peel in her dishwasher that she believes makes the glasses sparkle all the time.
"Just put them in your dishwasher and your glasses will be nice and shiny," he explained.
Another person posted a video where they pour fabric softener into the toilet tank so it smells really fresh.
