Who is responsible for Aryan's trauma, NCP asks after NCB responds | Indian News

MUMBAI: Maharashtra's ruling NCP hailed Aryan Khan , son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan , on the 'cruise drug' case for the clean mark the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had given him, asking on Friday who for responsible for the trauma he suffered. He also said that then-Corporal Area Chief Sameer Wankhede was accountable to the people of that country.
Ally Congress claimed the whole affair was part of a "larger conspiracy" to overthrow the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government, in which it shares power with the Shiv Sena and the NCP.
On Friday, the NCB gave Aryan Khan a free shot in the October 2021 "cruise drug" case in which he was arrested last year. NCB officials, who filed their charges in a Mumbai court, said Aryan Khan and five others were not named due to "lack of sufficient evidence".
The Federal Drugs Agency said in a statement in Delhi that its Special Investigation Team (SIT) had conducted its investigations "objectively" that "the touchstone of the evidentiary principle had been applied beyond reasonable doubt." reasonable".
In response to the development, NCP spokesman Clyde Crasto said: "If Aryan Khan was clean, why was he dirty? What was the motive? Who will be responsible for the trauma suffered by this young man? It raises a lot of questions."
Congress spokesman Atul Londhhe said the truth finally prevailed. "We had said from day one that the case was part of a larger conspiracy to destabilize the government of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) (the Shiv Sena, the NCP and Congress)," he said.
NCP chief spokesman Mahesh Tapase said the fact that the NCB gave Aryan Khan a clean boost shows that Maharashtra minister and NCP chief Nawab Malik was right when he said the case was wrong.
Malik criticized the conduct of the raids and the identification of witnesses, he said.
"Everything Malik said is valid. The witnesses said they were forced to sign blank papers and that the transactions involved were financial. Sameer Wankhede is accountable to the people of this country," he said.
The writing on the wall made it abundantly clear that NCP Minister Nawab Malik's objections to the conduct of the entire raid and the selection of witnesses with close affinities with the BJP were valid, Tapase said.
"Nawab Malik has raised serious questions about the workings and character of Sameer Wankhede. We have always maintained that NCB is a very credible organization with an impeccable track record, but the way things have been going lately has raised some questions about the organization's behaviour," said Tapase.
Malik made serious allegations against Wankhede and drew the ire of some powerful people in Delhi. Today, Malik is paying a price for telling the truth, he added.
Aryan Khan was arrested in the case by NCB on October 3 last year and was released from prison later this month after being released on bail. An NCB team led by Wankhede had ambushed the cruise ship and arrested 20 people, including Aryan Khan.
