TikTok is great for finding new recipes to try and fun videos to share with your group chat. But it's also a helpful resource for fun, practical tips to incorporate into your everyday life (can you tell I'm Gen Z?).
If you're on the same page of TikTok as me, you've probably seen dozens of videos of people organizing their fridges for maximum aesthetics. These videos showcase refrigerators outfitted with special bins for vegetables and fruit, shelves for soda cans, and perfectly arranged shelves, right down to the lazy susan for your favorite condiments.
While it may seem like overkill, an organized fridge can save you from frustration when you can't find that particular jar and even save you from forgetting expired groceries in the back. So what exactly do you need to achieve this look? And how much will it cost you? I describe everything below.

What you need to get started
Luckily, dressing your fridge like new isn't too difficult. A quick jaunt to the Dollar Tree or Walmart , or a quick scroll through Amazon can secure everything you need.
These small plastic containers are perfect for organizing items commonly found in your fridge drawers. Instead of searching through the vegetable drawer to find the last piece of fruit at the bottom, you can organize a container to store things like apples, cheese sticks, or limes.
And they're cheap. You can get a pack of 24 containers for $30.
While the above containers are great for produce and snacks, they're not wide enough to hold cans. If you have canned drinks on hand all the time, I recommend buying two or three cans to free up space on the fridge door shelves.
If you need extra storage on the bottom shelf of your fridge, these 14" x 8" bins are a great option. The width makes these containers ideal for yoghurts, preserves, baby food, juices, preserves and larger items such as onions and peppers. And its size allows you to stack two containers on top of each other or have four next to each other while sitting in the same row in your fridge.
I recommend buying two of the two packs for a total of four containers. Plus, these containers are so versatile that when you don't need them for the fridge, you can use them for your pantry, cosmetics, kitchen supplies, or craft and office supplies.
You don't have to pull every jar out of your fridge just to find this dressing in the farthest corner. Adding a turntable is a trick to add convenience and make your bookshelves more stylish. It is ideal for condiments, preserves and salad dressings.
The turntable fits all refrigerators and wall cabinets with a diameter of 10.8 inches.
While storing your eggs isn't essential since you already have the carton, if you want to achieve the TikTok aesthetic then storing eggs is a must.
There are cheaper egg trays at Dollar Tree, but the thicker plastic of these trays makes them easily stackable without fear of breaking eggs.
How much will it cost?
If you purchase the products in the recommended quantities above, your total will be $93. While it's not a change, it's decent to organize your fridge like the gurus on TikTok for less than $100.
You can also often find storage items for sale on Target or Amazon, and you can always stop by Dollar Tree in person so you don't have to buy wholesale items online.
organize yourself
So you have everything you need to organize your fridge. What now? First, get everything out of your fridge and clean it thoroughly. If you're wondering whether you should throw out a certain food item, check out our guide to deep cleaning your fridge .
Once the fridge and containers are clean, I recommend placing empty containers and storage containers in the fridge so you know exactly where you want to store each item, that you have enough storage containers, and that everything fits in your fridge.
You can start saving now! The end result should look like a perfectly maintained fridge that can easily go viral on TikTok.
