Are you planning a restructuring of your house? Here are some tips for choosing your rug from Rashi Bajaj, founder of Carpet Couture.
1st size: Pay close attention to the carpet you pick up. It has to fit perfectly in your room. Sometimes the carpet is larger than the right size and gives your room a chaotic look. If it is too small, the feeling of space disappears. Choose a custom size instead of simply choosing sizes. Measure the size or tell the Autocad Plan to your carpet dealer if it is a new house or a new room. They should be able to show you the tide of your chosen carpet in your Autocad plan and you can see if it fits perfectly with your furniture.
2. Colors and Design: Do not try to choose a carpet that matches the coverings of your pillows / curtains. In fact, you could change the pillow cases frequently, but the carpet will be around for a long time. Instead, opt for a design and a color that you will always love. Make sure it complements the floor, wall paint and wood finish.
3. Care and Maintenance: Do not give your carpet to an inexperienced dry cleaner. Improper cleaning of the carpet can irreparably damage the carpet. Follow the tips:
a. Fluff: It is normal for new carpets to crumble the yarn. These are the remaining fibers left over during rotation. The bruising is normal and does not make your rug look old. Vacuum your carpet often when it is new. Over time, these stuffed animals will disappear. Do not use a suction head with bristles or sharp ends.
b. Loose threads: If there are loose threads, do not pull on them. Use scissors to cut them.
c. Spilled: Undo immediately. Dry with a white cotton cloth moistened with liquid detergent.
