The festivals are very entertaining but place special demands on personal hygiene. Between the whole day in the sun and the camping at night, you can be very dirty and smelly at the end of the festival, unless you make a little effort to clean it up. Hang your light necklaces at the end of the night and read some of my best tips to stay clean at the following festivals:
Do you have money for a shower
Depending on where you camp, there may be paid showers. Generally, the showers cost between $ 5 and $ 10. Although that sounds good, the feeling of being pure is worth the money in my book. Use a swimsuit and flip-flops for a more comfortable shower. Cleaning is easy if you plan this extra effort in advance.
Organic soap or shampoo pack
Some festivals, such as Bonnaroo, allow people to clean nearby waterways using biodegradable products . While swimming in a cold stream is not much fun, the sense of cleanliness is worth it when you're done. This is especially true if you are extremely sweaty or if your hair is soaked in grease. When you're done washing, spray some care before you go back to the holidays.
Cool before bedtime with damp cloths
You can use them to remove dirt and sweat from your face, underarms or feet. You may want to pack some in a small zippered bag all day to remove perspiration regularly.
Turn a Frisbee into a spontaneous sink
Although it sounds strange, it really works. All you have to do is turn the Frisbee over and pour some water. You can then wash your face with this water. Bottled water also cleans your teeth well. Just brush, spit and rinse your mouth with a sip of water from the bottle.
Use a dry shampoo and apply a primer under your make-up
The dry shampoo absorbs the oil from your hair, allowing you to stay longer before washing. If you do not want your makeup to fall off your face while you're sweating, a make-up pad can help. Of course there is always the possibility not to make-up during the festival. But if you want to be in the best of shape, you can use a primer to look fresher and more efficient all day long.
Do not go too far in make-up
With a little make-up you can feel more secure. Simple items like eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss are easy to package and apply. Avoid too much make-up. Since most festivals are hot, your make-up may melt. Plus, you do not want to apply make-up all day long instead of enjoying the celebrations.
Essential package
Pack the essentials, including a deodorant, hair bands and a solution for your contact lenses. If you are taking medications , bring them with you.
Bring sunscreen
Nothing is worse than a severe sunburn during a festival. Pack the Sunscreen with a high sun protection factor and wear it regularly to prevent burns.
These are some of my favorite tips to stay clean and fresh at a festival.
