A new year means a new beginning. If you choose an organization, you're in luck because famous designer Wendy Pilch ONLY advised HollywoodLife not to clear her wardrobe.
There is no better feeling than starting the new year and how could you start better than ordering your wardrobe? Fortunately, Wendy Pilch , a famous stylist and co-founder of Millie & Main , an online design program, shared her tips on cleaning and organizing her closet with HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVY. When it comes to organized wardrobes, it's undoubtedly Kim Kardashian , 39, who recently showed off her huge wardrobe (which looks more like a living room) on Instagram. Kim's wardrobe is perfectly lined with shelves that contain her fancy bags and designer shoes, all in a coordinated color and perfectly aligned with the wall. If you want your wardrobe to be as pretty as Kim's, Wendy has given her best tips on storing your wardrobe.
"We find that the best way to start cleaning cupboards is to work in small blocks or one season at a time in your cupboard. We have applied our best practice to hundreds of customers to keep pain as low as possible, "said Wendy of his company Millie & Main. The first step in organizing is to determine whether you want to keep or throw away your items. That's why Wendy created " STAC'D ". "STAC'D is an easy way to remember the steps you need to take in your closet. Focus only on items that can be used during the current season . When it came to cleaning her closet, Wendy said to ask the following questions:
"Does it feel good when I use it?"
- Is that okay with me? If I was surrounded or sunk, could it be suitable for me?
- Is it out of date? Did I use it last year?
- Is it stained or too discolored to continue using it?
- Is this an item that I could not use for another season but now?
"TIP: Look at the items on the back of your closet. They are usually items that have not been used for a long time."
The STAC'D process consists of five steps:
"1. STORAGE: Store all off-season items that cannot be used during this season.
2. TOSS: worn, pilling-like or perforated parts.
3. CHANGE: The cost of hemming, folding and replacing parts will be charged.
4. REGISTRATION: Identify possible shipments.
5. DONATE: Donate anything that does not suit you or that appears to be out of date and cannot be sent. "
Once you've decided what to store, mix, or donate, you need to organize the parts you keep in your closet so that you can get dressed faster and easier. Wendy suggests following the instructions. System 1-8.
Follow these steps to organize your wardrobe:
"1. TOPS: Organize from casual to elegant and then group by color.
2. BACKGROUND: Organize it through pants and a skirt, then casual to elegant.
* Tip: hang your jeans more clothes *
3. DRESSES: Organize from casual to elegant, then by color.
4. COATINGS: (cardigans, jackets and light jackets): From casual to elegant, then by color.
5. SHOES: hang on door shelves or in transparent shoe boxes.
6. JEWELRY: Sort by type in a hanging jewelry organizer with transparent pockets.
7. LAYERS: Move - as in another closet and provide rain, light weight and heavy weight, then color.
8. BAGS: Sort according to Case Type and then by color. If you have a shelf, you can line it up with shoulder bags, shoulder bags, and bags. "
