DEAR READERS: If your wardrobes have a mild smell or a bad smell of clothes, you can do this to keep a closet clean and odorless. Take this first step: organize everything and do serious disorganization. Then vacuum and sprinkle regularly. If there are windows in the closet, open them to ventilate the entire closet. Do not put dirty or smelly clothes in the closet.
To control odors in the closet, hang up one or two socks filled with activated carbon, which you can buy in pet stores. Or put several bowls of baking soda in the cupboard to absorb odors. If the closet smells musty, it can be caused by moisture. Then put a fan in to dry it or use a dehumidifier.
DEAR READERS: Nail polish can not only look beautiful, but can also be used in many other ways. It can be used to identify objects with red lacquer and to repair other things with clear lacquer. Try these tips:
Mark the objects with red paint.
Note the levels to measure the amounts in the cups or cubes.
Point to a light switch that you want to keep on.
Mark the start of the wash cycle on the scale.
Repair the parts with clear varnish.
Stop the races below.
Repair small holes in a screen door or window.
Cover the back of the jewelry to avoid stains on the skin.
DEAR HELOISE: We just bought two flat screen TVs and I want to know how best to dust and clean them.

DEAR TERESA: Never use household cleaners. Do not use abrasives, solvents or cleaning sprays as these damage the high-tech equipment. Instead, buy commercially available cleaning agents for high-tech devices and remove dirt, dust and fingerprints with microfiber cloths. Clean electronic devices and computer screens frequently as dust accumulates and impairs the proper functioning of the device. Note: Before you start cleaning, pull the mains plug or switch off the device.
