1. Clean the fluff filter in your dryer after each use
Lint and dust from clothing can fall onto the fluff filter, which can be found in or around a drying door.
It is important to clean the lint filter after each use, as a clogged filter will restrict the air flow through the dryer, making drying less efficient.

The other reason is security. If the airflow is restricted, the dryers can become hot.
They are all equipped with thermal cutouts to prevent the machine from continuing to generate heat if it gets too hot inside.
If the safes break and the dryers become too hot, they can catch fire.
The best thing you can do to keep your tumble dryer safe and functional is to clean the filter every time you use it.
2. Empty the water tank every time you use your dryer.
To make your life easier, empty the water tank after each use if you have a heat pump or condenser dryer.
A water tank in a tumble dryer can generally hold more water than in the clothes of one load, but not enough for two loads.
To ensure that you can run a full load drying cycle without having to stop halfway to empty the tank, empty it every time you use your machine.
And if you set up your machine so that the water runs off like a washing machine, you never have to worry about emptying the water tank.

3. Clean the heat exchanger in your dryer.
The heat exchanger converts the steam from the drum into water. There are fibers between the steam and the air flowing through it, which can clog and contaminate over time.
A clogged heat exchanger slows the airflow through your machine and makes it less efficient. Therefore, remove and clean them under the tap about every month.
If you have a condenser dryer, you will find the heat exchanger on the front of the machine, under the drum and behind a door or panel. After removal, you can clean large pieces of lint by hand and dispose of the rest under the tap.

4. Make sure that the hose on the exhaust gas dryer is not kinked
If you have an exhaust dryer, checking that the hose is not kinked is a useful maintenance check.
The hose keeps hot, humid air away from the drum, and a hose that is bent into a ventilated dryer restricts airflow, making your machine less efficient and drying may take longer.

5. Check the wall opening for fluff
If you have a ventilated dryer, you need to quickly find the wall vent when servicing your machine.
Make sure that there is no fluff as material can accumulate at this point.
This gives your dryer the best chance to do an excellent drying job for you.
6. Clean the inside of the drying drum and the drying sensor.
Cleaning the inside of the drum is important for two reasons. Dirt and lint can collect on the drum and be embedded in the lighter fabric of your clothing.
The drying sensor, sometimes called the moisture sensor, is located on the drum, usually below the door opening. It consists of two metal strips that capture moisture and turn off the dryer when the clothes are dry enough.
A dirty sensor leads to improper drying, the clothes are too damp or too dry. Therefore, keep the drying sensor clean and the rest of the drum clean with white vinegar and a cleaning cloth or wipe.
