She wrote: "Tips on window cleaning please (inside and outside). First, what products are you using (I don't want to use a Detol spray) and second, what is your method?

"I'm tired of having to clean my windows / mirrors several times because the lighting changes and I notice that there are streaks."

The post was quickly swamped with comments from owners who shared their favorite tips.

"Like many others, I use hot water with some liquid detergent and some white vinegar," said a third.

White vinegar is often recognized for its impressive cleaning properties.

Other Facebook users have also said that the wardrobe can leave a shiny feature.
