Where can quilts be recycled? Tried local vets and the Dogs Trust but nobody wants them. (Surely quilts have to be environmentally harmful compared to wool or cotton blankets?)

You are right - many duvets are made of synthetic fibers and are therefore not environmentally friendly when disposed of. One solution is to reach out to animal welfare organizations, as comforters are great bedding. So you should try it first. I have contacted the Dogs Trust and it appears that the local office does not currently have the space to accept donations. This may not be the case in a few weeks, so it may be worth trying again.
