When a Facebook user shared his frustration with black mold in his bathtub, members of the "Tips and Tricks for Cleaning" group quickly responded with suggestions.
"I 've tried everything to get rid of the black around the bathtub! Said the original poster.
After receiving 130 suggestions, he returned the next day to share his amazing results.
"I used cotton bleach and let it sit for a few hours. So amazed it worked! She wrote.
The group members shared their surprise with a woman who wrote, "I ran into my bathroom around midnight to try this!"
While the results look spectacular, bleach is still a harsh chemical, and many others have found that it only bleaches mold and doesn't actually kill spores.
If bleach isn't for you, try soaking cotton balls in an anti - mold spray - you can take Bunnings and Woolworths - and let them sit overnight.
Or, as a natural alternative, the best way to get rid of mold spores is to combine clove or tea tree oil with water in a spray bottle. All you have to do is spray the area, let it sit for a few hours, spray again, and clean. If you want, you can replace the oil with vodka or vinegar.
