Vinegar is a great natural cleaning solution due to its acidic composition and works great to melt stubborn limescale stains.
Another way to remove scale from faucets is to simply mix equal parts white vinegar and water, then dip a cleaning cloth in the solution.
Then gently rub the limescale with the cloth. However, if the stains don't go away, Polly Shearer, kitchen and bathroom expert at Tap Warehouse, recommends increasing the soaking time.
She said: "Depending on the severity of the limescale build-up, you can soak the affected area in the white vinegar mixture for up to 30 minutes before rubbing it in as well," she explained.
