FRUIT Flies can be a nightmare once they get into your home, especially if they manage to get into your kitchen.

Well, there is a pretty cheap fix to this problem shared online by The Mommy Life Squad .

On his TikTok account, the cleaning pro explains how he gets fruit flies out of his house with just two ingredients.

The clip, which has now been viewed more than 3 million times, begins with the mother asking, "Siri, how do I get rid of fruit flies?"

The virtual assistant then shares a tip and replies, "Mix about 1 inch of apple cider vinegar and a few drops of dish soap in a tall glass."

The TikToker was keen to test and see if it would actually work.

She said, "Okay, that's it, now let's put it aside to see if it really works."

The mother let the night pass and returned to her kitchen the next day to see if this method was successful.

"I left that overnight and did it again the next morning," he said. "Oh my god it works, now I never have to ask Siri again."

However, some commenters weren't thrilled with the hack, writing, "I did that, it didn't work."

To which The Mommy Squad clarified, "It has to be in a jar. I tried a Styrofoam cup and it didn't work."

Another, who didn't find the advice successful, joked, "My fruit flies are too smart."

"Dish soap and sugar worked like crazy," added one commenter.

While another wrote: "Works best with a paper funnel. Also pour boiling water down all drains.
