WE HAVE learned that anything can be achieved with a little effort and a lot of hard work, but what if it didn't take so much effort?
When it comes to cleaning our home, we're all willing to get our hands dirty or be told we need to buy expensive products to make the job easier.
But actually, there are simple and effective tricks you can do at home that require little to no money and minimal effort.
Here Danielle Mason, owner of Miss Mason's Cleaning Business, shares her top seven tips for making your home shine, all costing £1 or less...
tin trick
Washing up is one of those chores that seems endless and you can feel like you're chained to the sink.
Stainless steel scrubbers often get the job done with tough messes, but if you don't have a bag, there's another easy solution.
Danielle says, "Aluminum foil crumpled into a ball can be used to skim fat and food from sheet pans in the oven.
"Just wash it well."
Just be careful not to rub too hard to avoid damaging the pan.
perfect polish
If you don't have polish, chances are you already have many products lying around the house that can really make your home shine.

Danielle says: "Apply a little baby oil to a microfiber cloth or soft cloth.
"It really shines on chrome surfaces and removes grease stains.
"Furthermore, a fresh lemon squeezed in warm water can also be used to polish windows and glass."
at the bottom of the pan
Cleaning the toilet is one of the most important household chores, but I understandably hated it.
And while it's cheap and putting bleach in the container is effective, it's chemical and not at all eco-friendly.
You can also consume bottles, which may not be very profitable.
Danielle says: "Instead of putting bleach in the toilet, you can soak your tissues in vinegar.
"Just put it in the toilet sink for about half an hour and then flush it out."
Alternatively, you can leave the vinegar on overnight, then add baking soda the next morning and scrub with a toilet brush.
Smart shower tip
If your showerhead is clogged with scale, there's a quick and easy way to fix the problem.
Danielle says, "Fill a sandwich bag with warm water and vinegar.
Then put the showerhead in the sandwich bag with hot water and tie it with a bobble.
"Just leave it on for 10 minutes and the limescale will be removed."
so fresh and so clean
If you want your home to smell irresistibly fresh, buy a small bottle of Zoflora, available online for just a pound, and add it to your water.
Danielle says: "Use it to clean radiators in the winter.
"Not only does it kill bacteria, but it also makes the house smell nice, especially when it's hot.
"It's also great for light switches and in dirty children's rooms.
"If you want to unclog a blockage, a lidful of Zoflora and boiling water will suffice."
think pink
Another 'miracle' cleaner trusted by cleaning enthusiasts is The Pink Stuff , £1.
Eco-friendly and stain-resistant, this is a popular purchase.
Danielle says: "For stained or watermarked shower doors, The Pink Stuff is perfect.
"Rub the surface and leave for ten minutes, then rub.
"Pat the area dry with a paper towel and you can even wipe it down with vinegar for an extra shine."
vacuum cleaner trick
Finally, if you're looking to freshen up your vacuum cleaner and therefore your carpets, a simple spoonful of cinnamon could be the answer.
Danielle says, "If you have a stinky vacuum, suck on cinnamon.
"Make the smell go away immediately!
"I also often squirt Zoflora on the vacuum bag, it makes the house smell unreal."
