Woman horrified after discovering mysterious bugs on Christmas tree that vacuum couldn't kill

A woman was horrified to discover her Christmas tree was infested with mysterious bugs that kept reappearing despite being sucked into the vacuum. The woman ended up with more than she bargained for after deciding to buy a real tree for this year's holiday season.

After seeing the creatures crawling around on a present, he tried to pick them all up but was confused when they came back. Desperate, she turned to Ms. Hinch's cleaning tips , where several commenters shared how they had dealt with a similar problem, reports Der Spiegel.

Writing on the Facebook group, the woman asked: "Has anyone removed these bugs from their real Christmas tree? does anyone know what they are I sucked on them and they came back after a few hours. Any help is welcome."

In response, people quickly tried to offer advice, and many suspected that the insect in the photo might be an aphid. One commenter wrote: "Looks like the giant willow aphid, I had it on a tree in my garden and it was a nightmare to get rid of it! I will get the tree back! Much luck."

A second said: "It's hard to see but it looks like aphids? The heat inside probably woke them up." And a third suggested: "Warning, my mum's tree had an aphid infestation in the middle of the tree, a huge nest of these hatched and got completely covered up."

Put lights on the tree and take a good look at them because they won't go away, you have to get the tree out of your house and give the carpets a deep clean!" Someone else wrote, "Make sure you vacuum them every time vacuum, they can crawl around and empty the contents of the vacuum cleaner every time".

Meanwhile, other viewers shared their own horror stories. "We had a tree with a year-round infestation and laminate flooring...I never realized it until I saw the dog licking the floor to death," read one reply.

Another person wrote: "This happened to us...we discovered a spider nest had hatched in our house after we were there for two weeks...hundreds of them started falling off every day. The tree is now on the lawn.

While another shared, "I woke up once with a full-blown infestation and will never have a real tree again." And it seems she's not the only one, as people were upset by the stories.

"It stopped me from having a real tree!" wrote an unimpressed viewer. Another commented: "Now it's very itchy..."
