Many of us lie on the couch at night only to end up scrolling endlessly on Instagram and TikTok.
Home accounts have been all the rage lately, with homeowners taking to social media platforms to share helpful tips and tricks, from DIY decorating to cooking and cleaning tips. We have to admit we're a bit addicted.
Although TikTok is a strong competitor for the app that contributes the most to increasing our screen time, you can actually learn a lot about the app.

The final trick to doing the trick is how to properly load a dishwasher. We know what you're thinking... who doesn't know how to load the dishwasher?
But one Home account shared his best tips and tricks, and some of them can save you a little money and time on dishes.
TikTok user Barbara Costello has shared some of her top tips for making the most of your dishwasher's space and listing items that should never go in the dishwasher.
"I'm here to show you how to load a dishwasher properly. Here are two things not to do before charging: scratch, don't rinse. Not only do you save water, but the detergent also has something to cling to. She tells her followers.
"Don't put things in the dishwasher that don't belong, like wooden objects or your good kitchen knives."
"The cleaning agents only remove the surface from the wooden boards. There is oil in the wood, it will eventually crack," he explained.
"(Money) will become dull, (dishwasher) will wear out the handle and the hand," he said.
Barbara says that all fragile items like fragile cups and glasses should always be placed on the top shelf.
"Cheer on them between the teeth, not over them. Place bowls on top, do not overlap. All bulky utensils fit between bowls and cups.
More fragile items, like the holy wine cup, should be placed on the prongs with a stabilizer if your dishwasher has one.
And apparently the dishwasher's top rack can be modified to be lower to make room for taller glasses. Who knows?! We are not…
"All your plates should face the center so each piece is clean."
Barbara says when you put pots and pans in the dishwasher, they should come to the front, but that could damage any nonstick coating. She admits she never puts these items in the dishwasher.
"Knives go down for safety reasons. You can group spoons and forks together for easy storage.
"Very important, the spray arms must not be clogged and that's how you load a dishwasher!"
Many were surprised to hear that the top shelf could be lowered, while others said the information was common knowledge.
