A WOMAN, whose partner was scratching her flooring while moving furniture, was desperately looking for a way to repair the damage without having to completely replace the flooring.
She felt lost and sought advice from other Facebook users, where many said a humble walnut would be enough.
He first posted on the Mums Who Clean Facebook group and asked for advice after his partner accidentally left the trail of destruction while moving his refrigerator.
Cleaning fanatics have suggested a variety of helpful tools, including olive oil and a pencil, but an overwhelming amount suggested rubbing a walnut over the area.
Although this seems an unlikely solution, the cleaning fanatic thought about trying and, to his surprise, the scratches disappeared completely and people couldn't believe how well it worked.
Impressed by the results, she later shared photos of her apartment with the same group that showed their new, improved floors.
In his article, he revealed: "The scratch is gone! Thank you, ladies, for recommending a walnut. It definitely worked and it didn't take long."
She explained that she was using the soft inside of the walnut and rubbing it over the area.
Then he waited 10-20 minutes and rubbed it again with his finger to mix it a bit more.
Then he said, "I used an almost dry cloth to polish it. I didn't want to use a completely dry cloth because it may have bothered you. It works as a gift!"
According to Lifehacker , wooden, vinyl, or laminate floors absorb oil from the mother, helping to hide scratches or remove them entirely.
People were amazed at how the humble walnut could help repair scratched floors.
Holy, that's incredible! One person wrote: "I'm going to leave a house with wooden floors, guess who's going to buy nuts tomorrow."
Another said, "This is good advice. I'll try. Thanks.
In the meantime, one person even described the hack as "magical".
Earlier on the same page, another cleanup fan shared a video of her that shows the trick that very clearly shows the traces that disappear under the flesh of the walnut.
Who knows?
