The nutritionist also recommended eating pears as part of a larger meal, such as a delicious grilled mackerel and pear salad recipe, best served with sliced fennel, lemon juice, pumpkin seeds, and fresh cream.

She added, "Or for those looking for a morning to pick me up, why not start the day with a delicious bowl of yogurt topped with pear slices and a touch of honey for the perfect combination of flavors.
Lily doesn't rule out snacking and recommends sliced apples with cheese and crackers as an afternoon snack.
