How ... wash your bike

There are many topics that can lead to a heated debate among motorcyclists, but the one that makes people talk is, "Should I wash my bike?"

Well, if you are looking for a definitive answer, you will not get it here. There are arguments for and against using a jet-jet to clean your bike, and many drivers will always appreciate the convenience, especially on particularly dirty motorcycles. So, if you choose a high pressure washer, you'll get some tips to help give your bike a sparkling look while minimizing the risk of damage to your device.

  1. Let the detergent do the job

Before you go crazy at the industrial front, spray the bike with the device of your choice, do not forget to clean an industrial furnace. It is a delicate machine that in many cases will have electronic elements open to the elements. Before plugging in the jet, be sure to brush the bike with the cleaning product of your choice and cover any exposed areas such as cables or exposed air filters. Give it a few minutes to focus its magic on all the dirt and grime in the nooks and crannies that a sponge could not reach.

  1. Stay away

The last thing you want to do is apply a coat of varnish in the tank of your pride and joy, with a jet of high pressure water to remove. Be sure to keep your distance from the bike when spraying. The best approach is to use the washing machine as a "flushing device" instead of a "washing device". That brings us to the next council.

  1. Use it as a rinser, not sandblasting

With the cleaning agent, which successfully penetrates all the dirt of the bike, you can rinse off the dirty foam on the bike at a distance. Make sure you work from top to bottom.

As always, we appreciate that everyone disapproves of these special tips, but we thought we would put our hat in the ring. What do you think is the best way to clean your bike? Why not visit us on social networks @insidebikes
