Blogger Lynsey Crombie shares a strange rust removal trick

Most of us spend a lot more time at home than usual, noticing every nook and cranny that needs cleaning, and looking for cleaning tips to save time, money, and money. 'Storage room.

He also shared his thoughts on top cleaning myths, saying that using white wine to remove red wine stains is definitely a no-no.

"So I've tried a couple of times and it doesn't work, it just makes it worse," he said.

"To remove the red wine, you'll need a bowl of warm (not hot) soapy water. Then add a nice touch of white vinegar, rub it in and let it sit for 15 minutes. Go back and use a dry white cloth. I need some white towels. "

However, he advocated other commonly recommended tricks, like putting the sponge in the microwave to kill bacteria.

"It works great, but first soak the sponge in a solution of water and lemon juice and then turn the microwave on full power for 5 minutes," he added.

Clean hacks

He also advocates the old trick of cleaning windows with newspaper.

"It works well and for years the ink has acted like an abrasive on the paper giving you really clean windows," he said.

Lynsey shared one of the biggest cleaning mistakes humans make, stating, "Mixing products is not only dangerous but expensive. Mixing them doesn't make them work better, it can cancel one another out."
