LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) - Coronavirus isn't preventing some from going on vacation this year. A local travel agent said there will be more families than business travelers at airports and on the go in the next two months. When you fly you should be prepared to see changes.

"Many adjustments have been made to reduce the number of flights," Paul Glenn told Executive Travel. "Some airlines will limit the number of passengers and that is a little different."

Of course, masks are required to be able to travel on flights, but Glenn says you need to be prepared for potential long lines due to social distancing and long layovers due to the general decline in flights. . He adds that Harvard studies have shown that flying is safer because of the recent changes.

"They know their cleaning process was extreme," said Glenn. "They go in between each flight and clean every seat. They clean every armrest. They have air purifiers that the planes use to get into that smoke between flights.

And a professional tip for cheaper flights?
"In fact, one tip for vacation travel is to go on vacation yourself," said Glenn. "You know, organize your family event the next day and not many people travel that day. We often do that as a family. ""

He says that during this vacation people will also go to see loved ones.
"There are a lot of people who travel for convenience and safety, just to get rid of unique aspects of the trip that could create increased levels of anxiety," said Glenn.

Glenn said it all depends on your mental state and reminded the public to be careful and kind when traveling during a pandemic this season.
