As we all know, the Lake Tahoe is a spectacular place. Visitors come from all over the world to see and experience the lake and diving in the surrounding woods and paths.
Those of us who live here have the privilege to live in this beautiful place on a daily basis and of course none of us want to see the waste in our environment. Fortunately normally do not see much garbage in Tahoe compared to other areas, but this is not because the waste does not exist - it's on the team's work in the field of clean Tahoe program.
Clean Tahoe is a nonprofit organization that has a contract with the city of South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County services reduce waste. We have completed our fiscal year and statistics recently that two people took our team on the ground to the streets and neighborhoods of South Lake Tahoe is amazing. Consider some examples:
Total garbage / waste collected 484 cubic meters (about five football fields CUBES!)
Events organized voluntary cleanup, our "Bear Aware" education campaign, Homeless they promote abandoned fields and coordinate with the local law enforcement authorities in relation to waste problems.

While the illegal dumping cleaning is a big part of what we do, the team members will follow in Reinfeld Tahoe also regular flights in our neighborhood ensure compliance with the orders of confinement local waste and collect waste volume range.

Reflecting on the past year, it is particularly concerned about the number of cases in animals - mostly bears, but also coyotes, raccoons and even dogs - have accessible bucket garbage overturned foraging.
At certain times of the year, our team spends most of their work day incidents animals away, and only the people we meet and receive reports cleaning; we know there are many others that are not explained.
And while many people might assume the only visitors are, let the bears in their garbage, we see just as well a number of problems that occur in complex full-time residences and multifamily.

As a community, then it is time that we protect it a priority to make wildlife and to keep our content waste. Please help us to keep our own community by following a few simple tips below:
Do not waste until the morning of diet-related waste collection day (unless you wear a metal bowl).
If you do not bear pit, install - it's a big investment, and it is now an interest-free loan program in which you can finance the cost of South Tahoe Refuse (details by phone at 530-541-5105).
Make sure all rubbish bins have a tight fitting lid secure.
Always keep closed dumpster when it is not in use.
If you rent out your property, leased or visitors educate sufficient safety of waste.
