Help Me Hank: Expert advice to protect your basement, the rain that causes flooding in the Detroit metro

Just a week ago, heavy rains caused floods in several large communities in Detroit. Flooded basements in the homes of many people that cause unnecessary stress.

For those of us who have not experienced the tide, it's easy to get rid of them, but your basement could be next.

We talked to Benjamin Gergis about DryMedic, a restaurant business in Bloomfield.

He and his team answered hundreds of calls this week. Gergis says one of the most important things he sees is the lack of protection of the owners from this problem and their passion to educate others.

Emergency users cover a variety of problems associated with water and the retention of water leaving home.
