A carpet that looks dirty and you want to fix as soon as possible? You need a cleaning trick that does the job without renting a carpet cleaning machine, buying a device, or skipping a product in your cart and waiting for delivery.

How to clean a carpet without a machine
Start fighting stains, but always do a patch test first to make sure your carpet can handle them.
Prepare a solution from one part of white vinegar with three parts of water. Spray the carpet with a mist spray and let it rest for a few minutes so you can get your work done. Rub with a clean microfiber cloth, following the basic rule that you should never rub against a stain.
Once the carpet is dry, it's time to address everything. Clean the furniture and sprinkle baking soda on the carpet. Leave on for a few hours, but if possible overnight. Vacuum thoroughly. The extra bonus? Your carpet smells fresh too.
