LOOK, we know that cleaning your toilet isn't the most exciting of chores, but have you ever given it a thorough scrub and that creepy shade of brown STILL won't budge?
Well, it could actually be caused by limescale buildup, and there's a very quick and easy fix.
We know what you're thinking: Limestone is usually an off-white color.
Speaking to the Express , Olly Cavner, Resident Services manager for Essential Living, said limestone often turns brown or green when it reacts with iron, magnesium or calcium in the toilet bowl.
And if the limescale wasn't hard enough to remove in the first place, it will also pick up dirt particles, making the stain even more stubborn.
But instead of scrubbing it thoroughly with a toilet brush, the expert said a 2p piece was a much better course of action.
Olly explained: "A difficult substance to remove, the 2p is one of the cheapest and most effective ways to remove scale from the toilet bowl.
"That's because if you wet a 2p coin and remove the limestone, the chemical reaction between the copper and the limestone causes it to break down.
"Just hold the coin at a slight angle and rub off the limescale deposits, almost as if you're nibbling."
And if you're still having trouble at this point, the expert recommends pouring in white vinegar, letting it sit for 20 minutes, then rubbing away the buildup with a bath sponge.
