Clean the drawer
Detergent powder, fabric softener, and specialty detergents can all leave a crusty residue in the detergent drawer, and all those little nooks and crannies can also be prone to black mold.
Cleaning experts say, "The easiest and most effective way to clean it is to take out the entire drawer and wash by hand.
"Soak the drawer in a bowl of hoppy, soapy water, then wipe clean with a damp cloth.
"If dried-on detergent or mold is stubborn, spray on an all-purpose household cleaner and scrub with an old toothbrush. Then finish by rinsing the drawer, drying it and putting it back in the machine.
filter cleaning
Most washing machines have a filter that is usually hidden behind a panel on the front of the machine.
The filter is designed to catch lint, hair and even small items that may accidentally get into the wash, such as B. coins or hairpins.
